About this Museum

The Iziko Slave Lodge is one of the oldest buildings in Cape Town. The museum explores themes from human wrongs to human rights, centred around the long history of slavery in South Africa. Through the changing programme of temporary exhibitions, the Slave Lodge aims to address issues around and raise awareness of human rights.
